Keepin' cool in the summertime

I bought Cate this sundress before she was born. Now she's finally big enough to wear it.

Cate is 6 months - Wednesday, July 16

Cate is 6 months old today. She now weighs 15 pounds, 1 ounce and is 24 3/4 inches long.
We see a little resemblance to Auntie Laurie:)

Daddy dressed her for the British Open. What can I say?:)

Cate's sitting all by herself:)

Look at our big girl sitting up all by herself.

She's so proud.

The inpatiens are almost as big as Cate. She loves being outside on the porch.

Cate's visit in Ohio continued

Cate's all dressed up for the 4th and hanging out at the Roberts' Balloonfest party in the hammock.
Cate's having "tummy time." I see crawling in the near future:)

Cate loves her Auntie Laurie.
Great Grandma Sprague even got down on the floor to play with Cate.

Our smiley girl. Check out the crazy multicolored rattle from Great Aunt Kathy. Cate loves it even when she's conking herself in the head with it:)

Those kicking legs just never stop.

Cate's first Balloonfest - 2008

It's Balloonfest 2008, and here comes one of the balloons over our house early Sunday morning.

Cate is ready for her first parade at Balloonfest 2008. Laurie and I had fun decorating the stroller. We walked up Center Street with about 500 other entrants. We thought she was surely the best candidate for cutest baby:)

The parade is almost ready to start.

Here they come up Center Street. Laurie and I were trying not to start marching:)

Fun!

In Maine with Cate

All dressed up - Is there someplace to go?

Dressing up in Grandpa's glasses. It's the English teacher look:)

Cate gets her first bite of "real" food - rice cereal. She loved it.

Him, Tarzan; me, Jane:)

An early birthday celebration for Gramma. Cate thinks that present looks interesting. I'm kind of loving that chocolate cake. Lindsay made it from scratch for me. What a sweetie!

Cate goes to "camp"

Playing with Daddy.

Hanging out on the dock with Gramma:)

Cate's admiring the fish Daddy caught. Wow! That's almost as big as she is. If I know Lindsay and Rick, they'll have a fishing pole in Cate's hand before you know it.

Lovin' life at the lake.

What a fun place to visit. When it gets a little warmer, we'll dip her toes in the water.

Just chillin' at camp.
For those of you unfamiliar with Maine localisms, a cottage in Maine is called a camp. Cate made her first visit up to Gramma and Grandpa's camp and had a great time.
