It is hard to believe that Cate is one year old. Thinking back to holding that tiny newborn only hours old, I am so grateful to God for the miracle of her life. She has brought us joy and laughter and love beyond measure. Twelve months later she's walking and talking and playing and laughing. It is all so amazing and such a blessing.

December 31: Cate's walking!:)
Maybe it was just a final item to check off her "Accomplishments of 2008" list or an attempt to upstage her Aunt Laurie's 28th birthday, but Cate decided to walk today. She had taken a tentative step or two between people and furniture while in Ashland over Christmas but nothing too impressive. Then New Year's Eve morning she got up and walked across the room. As Rick said, "How does she go from a halting step one day to walking across the room the next?" As I told him...that's babies for you:)
