Last night the Admission Office hosted a wonderful retirement celebration for Jay (planned by Lanie Roberts and Tony Box) at a local place called Celebrations by Sallie. About 50+ of his closest colleagues from the Admission Office and his former days in the Radio/TV Dept., former students, and friends gathered to laugh, tell stories, and offer their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes. Since Jay is known for his practical jokes, sick jokes, endless jokes, and pranks...it was also payback time. So many stories, so many friendships, so many shared moments to recall. What a wonderful evening. Others were doing a better job of documenting the evening, but above are a couple of highlights I managed to capture.
