A Trip on the Candy Cane Train

As part of Cate's Christmas present we got tickets for the Candy Cane train which goes on a 90 minute round trip between Bath and Wiscassett. Cate was so excited to start her ride.

Christmas on the inside

Unpacking boxes of Christmas decorations that have been stored for two years has been so much fun and a bit challenging. Where to place this? Where will that look best? We're happy with the results and thought we'd share our accomplishment:)

Fun in North Carolina

Just some random pictures from Lindsay and my trip to NC this weekend. We had so much fun. The weather was perfect and the fall colors were at their peak.

The baby shower was in a beautiful southern mansion that's a bed and breakfast.

Minnie Mouse look-a-like

During the Nor'easter on Monday, Linday and Rick lost power. So Rick and Cate came out to our house (Lindsay had school). Cate wanted a bow in her hair so she'd look like Minnie Mouse. Here's what we did and she loved it...especially because she also had polka dots.

Happy Halloween

Cate really got into Trick-or-Treating this year. She marched right up to the door, said, "Trick or Treat," and as she was leaving said, "Thank you for the candy." She loved being an angel since it was very much like being a princess. The halo was quickly ditched (probably appropriately - ha) but the wings were her pride and joy. She kept asking if she could fly, and Lindsay and I kept saying, "Just pretend":) We only went to five neighbors, but Cate was happy and enjoyed every minute. And, oh yes, it was only 36 degrees outside. I kind of felt like we should be singing Christmas carols:)
