The Family Together at Last:)

After almost a year we finally got the whole family together. What a wonderful week we had, as you'll see if you look through all the new posts that follow.
Aunt Laurie and Uncle Zach with Cate. She warmed up to them immediately and they had great times together this past week.

Sometimes Cate opens her eyes for pictures and sometimes "Cate being silly." :)

Two Sides of Maine

We took Laurie and Zach down to Popham Beach but when we arrived the coast was fogged in.
We went back up river to Bath and it was beautiful. Here we're at Doubling Point lighthouse.

Zach, Jay, and Laurie at the lighthouse.

Doubling Point on the Kennebec River across the river from Bath. We see this lighthouse all the time.

A Trip to Our Camp with Laurie and Zach

No visit to Maine is complete without some time spent at the lake. Rick, Lindsay, and Cate couldn't come this time as they were waiting for Rick's sister and family to arrive from Philadelphia.
Laurie and her daddy:)

The porch is always a good spot.

A Day Trip to Camden, Maine

Laurie's favorite town in Maine is Camden (They have great shops ) so we took a picnic lunch and drove up for the day. No pics of the shopping but here's our lunching at the park. Jay is looking for sea glass.
Cate is looking for Papou and asking, "Papou doing?"

Lunch time.

Cate stealing Lindsay's sandwich which looked better to her than her own, of course. Rick had to work so he's our missing guy.

Walking on the beach in Camden: Cate and Gramma

Wouldn't miss these experiences for anything!

Our First 4th of July in Maine

Some more lobster, this time at Lindsay's:)
Rick drove the firetruck in the Bath 4th of July parade. Cate gets pretty excited when he goes by and blows the siren just for her:)

Watching the parade.

Loving July 4th!

A Special Birthday Celebration - Part 3

On July 2 Laurie and Zach arrived and we had a birthday barbecue at our house followed by this delicious homemade chocolate cake that Lindsay made for me. My mom use to make it for my birthday and now my daughter does:) I'm a lucky lady:)
The message was a little hard to take - ha- but the cake was delicious!!!
With all the family in town, I got to celebrate my birthday 3 times!!! (Lucky me) This was #3
You'll have to keep on going by clicking Older Posts to see the rest:)

Special Birthday Celebration - Part 2

On my actual birthday Jay and I went out to dinner at a favorite place, Shaw's Wharf, in New Harbor. I had a yummy crab roll, a particular favorite of mine. Afterwards we drove down to Pemaquid Lighthouse to enjoy the sunset.

On the deck of the restaurant.

My brother-in-law Larry

My niece Laurel and , of course, Cate!
With lots of family coming and going, I had plenty of people around to help me celebrate my big day.
